From Clydesdale Racer to Chippendales Dancer Part III

Well, it’s been yet another month or so since I updated everyone regarding my progress on my journey to awesomeness.  You can catch up on Part I and Part II if you have no idea what I’m talking about.

Things are going really well.  I’m down a total of 17.5 pounds for the year, and I’m feeling great.  My clothes are starting to get a little baggy on me, my lifts are still going up, and my conditioning is improving dramatically.  So far so good.  If you want to see weekly pictures of me (and if you do, you’ve got problems), then you can find them right here (older photos are at the bottom, and they get more recent as you go up).

I’m very confident that I will be below the 200 pound Clydesdale mark by May 1st – the day I’ll be shredding some single track at Syllamo’s Revenge.  I can’t wait.  I can even visualize my future, not-so-fat self:

Clydesdale looking at skinny Clydesdale

Not sure I'll ever be this small, but you get the idea.

So as of this morning, I weighed 212.5.  Not too bad.  That means I need to roughly lose 1.5 pounds per week between now and Syllamo.  I can do that.  I WILL do that.  No problem.

So how are you doing with your goals?  Have you already forgotten about your New Year’s resolutions?  Well, about 20% of the year is already gone… forever. You’ll never get it back.  If you’ve been slacking, you still have time to get back on track, but start today!  If my fat ass can do it, then so can you.

  1. Dude, I just realied that we now almost weigh exactly the same. I was 215.6 this morning before coffee (wearing shoes, though)

Next thing you know we’ll be wearing each other’s clothes.

  2. Wow, man. It’s going to be crazy that we’ll both be too small for the Clydesdale division soon. So cool!

And, just so you know… I wasn’t wearing your jeans. It was just your belt with your sweet, sweet Burnin’ at the Bluff Winner’s Belt Buckle. We went to dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Ti-taint-ium, so I had to wear it to impress them. I also wanted to know what it felt like to wear a winner’s belt buckle.

  3. Nice.

You know, you get a discount at participating Arby’s restraunts with that thing. Right now you can get 2 french dips for $5.

    Don’t abuse it.

  4. Hallo,

das ist ja ein wunderschönes Bild. Das erfreut das Herz. Toll. Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu diesem Prachttier. Wird bestimmt ein wunderschönes Reittier.

Exellent. Ich wünsche weiterhin viel Erfolg und Spass

    Schöne Grüsse von der Nordseeküste.

  5. I had 3 years of German in high school. Here’s the translation:

That is a beautiful picture. It gladdens the heart. Toll. Congratulations on this magnificent animal. Is certainly a beautiful mount.

Exellent. I wish you continued success and fun

Best regards from the North Sea coast.

……I’m going to be laughing my ass off for hours now.

  6. Wow… At least he didn’t think I was really a Chippendale’s dancer. That is effing hilarious!

  7. Wow Bob, that’s a really good translation. That’s exactly what Google Translator came up with. It even spelled “excellent” without the “c” the same as you. What are the odds?

I think Petra is a chick’s name. That whole beautiful mount thing would be a little disturbing coming from a guy. Although, I agree Luke was an animal at Syllamos Revenge.

Thanks again for the ride back to JC.

Yeah, I’m actually a consultant for Google translator. That’s how I paid my through engineering school.
